Year 7 had the privilege of visiting the Sri Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara in Manchester on February 13th. The learners had a busy day experiencing the atmosphere and the rituals of the Sikh place of worship. They were expected to cover their heads, wash their hands and remove their shoes on entering the Gurdwara. They were able to watch and learn how a typical Sikh service unfolds. They were given the opportunity to talk to a Sikh and ask him questions regarding his belief, items of clothing and their rituals. They were able to compare what they learnt about the Sikh community and their way of worshiping with other religions that they have studied.
It was an exciting and worthwhile experience and one in which we all learnt very much.

Cafodd Blwyddyn 7 y fraint o ymweld a'r Gurdwara Sri Guru Gobind Singh ym Manceinion ar Chwefror 13eg. Cafodd y dysgwyr ddiwrnod prysur iawn yn profi awyrgylch a defodau man addoli y Siciaid. Roedd disgwyl iddynt orchuddio eu pennau, golchi eu dwylo a diosg eu hesgidiau wrth fynedfa y Gurdwara. Cawsant wylio a dysgu am drefn gwasanaeth nodweddiadol y Siciaid.

Cawsant gyfle i siarad gyda rhai o'r Siciaid a'u holi ynglyn a'i cred, eu daliadau, eu gwisg a'u defodau.Roeddynt wedyn yn gallu cymharu a chyferbynnu yr hyn roeddent wedi ei ddysgu am y gymuned Sicaidd a'u ffordd o addoli gyda arferion crefyddau eraill maent wedi eu hastudio.

Roedd yn ymweliad cynhyrfus a hynod werthfawr o ran yr hyn a ddysgwyd ganddom i gyd.
