Listening to Learners
The school has a clear and effective pupil participation policy with an emphasis on listening to learners. Suggestions are taken on board and, where possible, improvements made.
All pupils can express their views:
· * By using the Suggestions Box (outside the Hall);
· * Attending the ‘School Council Listen’ meetings in the Hall
· * through form council/year council/school council.
Feedback from these initiatives are shared through assemblies, via the School Council newsletter and noticeboards, as well as the digital screen outside the canteen.
We also provide opportunities for pupils to contribute through student surveys and various focus groups with the school’s management team. Individual departments have their own pupil voice initiatives where views are expressed about teaching and learning.
In addition, pupils can also contribute through the Eco-committee, SNAG (School Nutrition Action Group), Camau Cymraeg (Welsh Language Council) and the e-Safety Ambassadors. Links to these different elements are displayed under the Pupil Voice Listening To Learners Tab
